This commemorative exhibition, to mark seventy years since Israel’s establishment, is the culmination of an educational, cultural and artistic project involving some of the 6,500 participants from Jewish educational institutions in the UK, USA, Singapore and Israel. The students created artistic interpretations of works of art, by some of Israel’s most significant artists and of the original exhibits in its museums that represent the historical, cultural and Jewish connection to Israel. Photos of the originals and the corresponding student’s responses are displayed alongside one another.
